SIMPSON ON TRACK TO RETURN

With Victoria’s COVID-19 restrictions now easing along with interstate travel now accessible, Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway has turned it’s attention towards a return to racing, in south west Victoria. Both competitors & spectators can set their sights on what is to be the very first 410 sprintcar meeting in Victoria since the pandemic.
Saturday 27th December will see Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway host the long awaited sprintcar cup proudly supported by South West Conveyancing.

This event will no doubt attract fans from across Victoria along with a keen interest from interstate drivers. The venue is excited to welcome back a host of classes to join the sprintcars on this night including Formula 500’s & Wingless sprints.

President Tim Rankin along with committee members & volunteers have always maintained the mindset they would find a way to make it happen post COVID. The club has faced its fair share of challenges over the years none more so then the pandemic which has swept the globe since earlier this year but we are glad to welcome back racing come late December and beyond thanks to the hard work of all involved.

It has been a busy 12 months for Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway on & off the track, as the venue has seen a number of major upgrades successfully completed including becoming a successful recipient of the Victorian Government “Pick My Project” which seen the replacement of all track lighting facilities.

Overall the club has been able to invest upwards of 200k into the venue to improve not only a spectator experience but also driver safety. This was recognised by Speedway Australia as Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway was awarded MOST IMPROVED TRACK OF THE YEAR 2020.
